Davido -Feel

Davido -Feel

FEEL” was taken from Davido’s album “Timeless,” which features Skepta, Asake, Focalistic, Angélique Kidjo, The Cavemen, Fave, Musa Keys, Dexta Daps, Morravey, and Logos Olori.

As with all success stories, these moments of elation and escape have come with prickly instances of sorrow and pain

Timeless, Davido’s highly anticipated fourth album, follows a period of intensely personal losses and an extended retreat from the public eye after the tragic passing of his son in 2022.

Across Timeless’s 17 tracks, Davido responds with an elder’s acceptance, prioritising soothing self-preservation over blinding euphoria and returning with songs that are as measured as they are assured of his success over whatever forces might arise against him.

Davido’s sophomore album, “Timeless,” spans 17 tracks, and it was preceded by the Focalistic-assisted song “Champion Sound,” which was released in 2021.

Quotable Lyrics:

Libianca – People (Remix) ft. Ayra Starr, Omah Lay

5K Records Limited and Sony Music Entertainment present the remix to Libianca‘s hit single, “People.”

For the remix to Libianca’s song, “People,” she features Nigerian songstress Ayra Starr and sensational singer Omah Lay. The song, “People” is a unique song that Libianca uses to encourage her listeners to check up on their loved ones.

Joining forces with Afropop stars Ayra Starr and Omah Lay, the three vocalists meld effortlessly to create a dreamy remix across the Afrobeat-tinged ballad, listen back here.

Last week Libianca was called upon for a mesmerizing performance of her global smash on BBC Three’s Tonight with Target and debuted with her first BBC 1Xtra Live Lounge

The beautiful ballad sees Libianca explore how she navigates anxiety and depression through her vices. Describing the making of the song, Libianca notes:

“I was going through a lot during Thanksgiving week and felt so unseen – nobody noticed what was going on. I remembered thinking, I have to stay consistent with my content on social media, so I can’t afford to sit around in my emotions right now. So I walked past my room to the studio, found a beat and recorded it.”

Growing up between Cameroon and Minnesota, Libianca blends the sounds of her childhood, to create her own Afro-Pop leaning sound that is heard across her music.

In addition, Libianca has been working on her debut album, which would follow the success of her previous single, “People.”

Quotable Lyrics:

I’ve been drinking more alcohol for the past 5 days
Did you check on me?
Now did you look for me?
I walked in the room
Eyes are red
And I don’t smoke banga
Did you check on me?
Now did you notice me?

Nobody will know the paranoia oh
Cuz I put a smile on my face
A facade you can never face
And if you don’t know me well well oh
You won’t see how buried I am inside my grave
Inside my grave

Cuz you see people
People
People
People don’t really know you
They don’t really know you
Cuz you see people
People
People
They don’t really know you
They don’t really know you

Tems Wins First Grammy Awards

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems, has won her first Grammy Award.

The Nigerian music sensation won the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category at the 2023 Grammys on Sunday night, February 6, for her part in ‘Wait for U,’ the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.

Meanwhile, Tems, who had bagged three nominations in this year’s Grammy Awards, made this feat her first Grammy award win after four nominations.

Just recently, Tems declared herself as the ‘GOAT'(Greatest of all times).

The ‘Crazy Things’ crooner took to her Twitter account to make this assertion after American rapper, Snoop Dogg asked her for a music collaboration.

However, Snoop Dogg informed the ‘Essence’ singer that he is a huge fan of hers and asked for the opportunity to work on a song with her.

Reacting to this, Tems who has songs with Wizkid, Beyonce, Drake, among others in the tweet, said she is undoubtedly among the greatest in the music industry.

Tems declared it was easy for a star to attract another star in the industry as they easily recognize one another unlike sheep, that are always blind when it comes to recognizing themselves.

“How you know you tha is when you attract the all the ’s. It don’t take too long for a GOAT to recognise another GOAT. But the sheep, they always blind af.” She wrote.
