Inter-religious Council of Uganda meet Security heads ahead of 2021 polls

As the political temperature reaches afinal boiling point ,trusted reports indicate that top religious leaders under their Inter-Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU) are set to meet General David Muhoozi, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martin Okoth Ochola and the Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama, the chairperson of the Independent electoral Commission over the 2021 general elections.

Joshua Kitakule, the IRC secretary general confirmed the meeting although he did not reveal the agenda of the meeting apart.

However, credible sources in the Inter-Religious Council have revealed that the team of the religious leaders will be led by their chairperson Mufti Ramathan Shaban Mubajje, others will be His Grace Samuel Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, the Archbishop of the church of Uganda, His Grace Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, the head of the Catholic Church in Kampala, Dr. Joseph Sserwadda, from the born again churches and others.
