Kanyamunyu abandoned by his Lawyers

Attorneys of murder suspects Mathew Kanyamunyu and Cynthia Munwangari have deserted the case after recording submissions in an application seeking to pursue negotiations that are intended to have the matter settled out of Court, T

High Court Judge Stephen Mubiru heard the issue Friday morning said that Kanyamunyu’s three Lawyers McDusman Kabega, Caleb Alaka and Ochieng Evans had relinquished him in his forthcoming criminal preliminary.

Prosecutions Jonathan Muwaganya and the blamed told Court that since 27th October, 2020 the Defense Lawyers have neither met them in readiness of this preliminary.

Muwanganya says he had called 2 witnesses to affirm Friday to testify over the death of social specialist Kenneth Akena that happened in November 2016.

Justice Mubiru has now given Kanyamunyu and his better half this end of the week to either get new Lawyers, put forth attempts to contact their previous Lawyers or tell the Court’s Registrar to get them a Government paid Lawyer. Hearing of the case will continue on Monday 9th November, 2020.
