In court proceedings, it emerged that Fr. Ingabire had hosted a man who had stolen all that money after stealing it from a foreigner dealing in gold. This suspect and his wife were also arrested. It was determined by court that the priest was not involved, though related to woman

Last week, both the woman and Fr. Ingabire were both freed by court. Prosecution will continue on the husband charged with forming criminal organization & other serious cases. Fr Ingabire has returned to his parish and his fate rests with the Vatican as to whether he stays
