Tems Wins First Grammy Awards

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems, has won her first Grammy Award.

The Nigerian music sensation won the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category at the 2023 Grammys on Sunday night, February 6, for her part in ‘Wait for U,’ the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.

Meanwhile, Tems, who had bagged three nominations in this year’s Grammy Awards, made this feat her first Grammy award win after four nominations.

Just recently, Tems declared herself as the ‘GOAT'(Greatest of all times).

The ‘Crazy Things’ crooner took to her Twitter account to make this assertion after American rapper, Snoop Dogg asked her for a music collaboration.

However, Snoop Dogg informed the ‘Essence’ singer that he is a huge fan of hers and asked for the opportunity to work on a song with her.

Reacting to this, Tems who has songs with Wizkid, Beyonce, Drake, among others in the tweet, said she is undoubtedly among the greatest in the music industry.

Tems declared it was easy for a star to attract another star in the industry as they easily recognize one another unlike sheep, that are always blind when it comes to recognizing themselves.

“How you know you tha is when you attract the all the ’s. It don’t take too long for a GOAT to recognise another GOAT. But the sheep, they always blind af.” She wrote.
